Medicare Supplement Insurance Policy From Plan A to L

Policies are standardized into plans labelled A through L as required by the laws of the state.

Plan A provides basic coverage for hospitalization and medical expenses while Plan B includes the same basic benefits, plus coverage for your Part A deductible. Plan C gives more coverage than Plans A and B. You can also get the basic benefits plus coverage for the Part B deductible, best nursing care, emergency care abroad, and etc. Plan F gives basic benefits plus coverage for both the Part A the Part B deductible. Plan B Excess charges which pays 100% of the difference between your doctor’s charge and the Medicare approved amount t a non-Medicare assignment physician. Plan F also has a high-deductible selection which some companies may offer. Medicare Supplement Plan F also offers the basic benefits, plus coverage for both the Part A. Medicare Plan B Excess charges pays 80% of the difference between the doctor’s charge and the Medicare approved amount to a non-Medicare assignment doctor. These high deductible plans pay the same benefits as Plan F and J after one has paid a calendar year $2000 deductible. Benefits from high deductible Plans F will not start if out-of-pocket expenses exceed $2000. Plans K up to N provide for a separate cost-sharing for items and services than Plans A to G. Medicare supplement Plans K and L, when it reach your annual out-of-pocket limit, the plan will them pay 100% of the Medicare co-payment, co-insurance and deductibles for the rest of the year.
