Admiral Life Insurance Medicare Supplement

Admiral Life Insurance Company of America was established in 1958 and its Medicare Supplement plan reinsured with a leading A.M. Best rated A+ (Superior) Reinsurance Company. The insurance company is owned solely by State Mutual who purchased Admiral Life 3 years ago from Wells Fargo Bank.

The insurance has two parts. Part A Coinsurance and Part B Co-Insurance. Part A requires more than 60 continuous days or 2 months of hospitalization for them to pay to confinement fee. They will pay the co-insurance and for the first 3 pints of blood each year they need. In addition to that, if the members use their lifetime reserve days, Admiral Life will offer coverage for up to an additional of 365 days. On the other hand, Part B pays the Medicare Part B coinsurance amount that reduces your out of pocket expenses when you need medical services.

On behalf of Hospital Coverage Medical Part A for the deduction, all Admiral Life Plans B, C, D, E, F and G will pay $1024 admitted patient for each period. For first 60 days, after the Part A deduction, Medicare will pay all authorized hospital expenses for services form your first 60th day stay on hospital. Service includes general nursing, miscellaneous hospital supplies and semi-private hospital rooms. For the extended Hospital treatment, if a member extends more than 150 days limited stay all Admiral Life Plans will pay the Part A Medicare authenticated expenses for hospitalization, paid at the Prospective Payment System (PPS) rate or other appropriate standard of payment, subject to a lifetime maximum benefit of an additional 365 days.

For Physician’s Services and Supplies Medical Part B regarding with the deduction, all Admiral Life Plans C and F pays the $135 calendar year deductions. Regarding for Co-insurance, after the part B will be deducted; all Admiral Life Plans will usually pay 20% of Medicare Authenticated Expenses for physician’s services, hospital outpatient services, therapies like physical and speech recovery, and ambulance services. Regarding the excess benefits, when the time occurs that the bill for Part B services and supplies may exceed the Medicare Eligible Expenses, Admiral Life Plan F pays 100% of the difference, up to the charge limitation.
